Government issued passports are one of the most universally recognized identification documents around the world. Containing information such as the passport holder’s name, date and place of birth, signature and photograph, citizens can benefit from the numerous ways that passports can facilitate international travel.

As a secure travel document, passports not only serve as a form of identification, but as evidence of citizenship and/or nationality, as well as proof of the bearer’s right to enter a foreign country and re-enter their own country of residence.
